What are the main problems in the injection mold industry?

We often say that mold technology is an important indicator to measure a country's product manufacturing level. In recent years, the production technology and product quality of injection molds in my country have developed rapidly, and plastic products have been widely used in daily life. However, compared with foreign advanced technology, the mold manufacturing technology level of most domestic enterprises still needs to be improved.

At present, the main problems in my country's injection mold industry are:

1. The contradiction between supply and demand that is difficult to resolve in the short term

At present, the import and export volume of molds in my country is increasing year by year, and the market demand is strong, but the production volume of most enterprises cannot keep up with the pace of rapid development, and the situation of oversupply will continue for a period of time. Relevant data show that the satisfaction of the domestic injection mold market is less than 74%, and the satisfaction of large precision molds is relatively low.

2. Unbalanced industrial development

Although the products of individual enterprises have reached or approached the international advanced level, on the whole, the molds produced by domestic enterprises are still far behind foreign enterprises in terms of precision, production cycle, and service life, and the overall level of industrial development is low.

3. The overall technical level is backward

In recent years, through technological transformation, the production technology of some enterprises has reached a relatively high level, but compared with most enterprises, the overall technical level is still relatively backward. More importantly, the poor organizational coordination ability of enterprises makes it difficult to integrate or mobilize social resources.

4. Insufficient innovation ability

Most enterprises have a low proportion of technical personnel, low innovation capabilities, low investment in scientific research, and backward management systems. Therefore, more attention must be paid to innovation and development.

Main-07----injection molding

In order to improve the status quo of the mold industry, mold companies need to start from the above four aspects, and accurately grasp the individual needs of customers at the first time in order to develop steadily and rapidly. The following short series introduces a common question customers face when selecting raw materials for manufacturing plastic products.

In daily life, there are many types of plastics, different types have different names, and even the same material has different grades. On top of that, different types of plastics have different shrinkage rates. The so-called plastic shrinkage is the percentage difference between the size of the plastic at the molding temperature and the size when it is removed from the mold and cooled to room temperature. The main factors affecting the plastic shrinkage rate are the type of plastic, the molding conditions during the injection molding process, the complexity of the mold structure, the shape of the plastic parts, and whether there are inserts.
